2013 Wyoming Small Business Advocate of the Year

Sandra M. Newsome, Vice President/Director, Ishawooa, Inc. dba Insight Business Design, was honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce noon luncheon in Cody on May 6th.  During the luncheon, Amy Lea, Deputy District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration, presented this prestigious award to Sandra.

The 2013 Small Business Advocate of the Year award is given by the SBA Wyoming District Office to individuals or businesses that work to foster small business success in Wyoming.  Our award winner has always been willing to mentor small businesses and encourage them to attend financial management programs and classes. She assists them by sharing her operational knowledge in both the retail and manufacturing sectors and provides general business consulting. Her business consulting firm takes a holistic approach to designing business models that increase profit and create more freedom for the owners.

The National Small Business Week awards are one of the highlights of the SBA’s National Small Business Week celebration that will be held nationwide from June 17th through June 23rd, 2013.  The SBA Wyoming District Office will honor two additional National Small Business Week award winners at events around the state leading up to National Small Business Week, including the 2013 Wyoming Small Business Person of the Year - Aaron Rodolph, Rodolph Brothers, Inc. and the 2013 Wyoming Small Business Advocate “Downtown Development” Award - Dan Brecht. ­
