About Sacramento District Office

The Sacramento District Office is responsible for the delivery of SBA's many programs and services to counties in Northern California. For program and service information for the 21 counties of Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Glenn, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, Yuba

Services Available

Over the years, the SBA has developed many small business loan and assistance programs, special outreach efforts and initiatives to aid and inform small businesses. The following describes briefly all the services and information available through this office:

  • Financial assistance for new or existing businesses through guaranteed loans made by area bank and non-bank lenders. The Sacramento District Office assisted 1460 businesses in obtaining $407 million in loans in the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2007. These loans were made through the 7(a) and 504 loan programs. For more information, call us at 916 735-1700.

  • Free counseling, advice and information on starting, better operating or expanding a small business through (SCORE) Counselors to America’s Small Business.

  • Assistance to businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals through the Minority Enterprise Development Program.

  • SBA makes special effort to provide its programs to women, minorities, veterans and businesses involved in international trade. For additional information on these special emphasis areas, call us at 916 735-1700.
