Camron A. Doss is the District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Portland District Office. Doss is responsible for the delivery of the SBA's programs and services throughout greater Oregon and four counties in Southwest Washington. Doss oversees SBA programs related to access to capital, federal procurement opportunities, business assistance and economic development in cooperation through more than 60 area lenders, 21 Small Business Development Centers, five SCORE Chapters, and one Women's Business Center and Veteran’s Business Outreach Center.
A native of Magnolia, Arkansas, Doss is a career federal servant. Doss served as the Chairman of the Oregon Federal Executive Board (FEB). In this role, he developed strategic goals and set priorities for the Oregon FEB based upon the common interest and needs of some 120 member federal agencies with a workforce of 25,000 federal employees. Prior to joining the SBA, he served as the Director of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Southern Service Center, where he delivered workspace solutions for clients in federally owned and leased buildings, totaling 4.2 million square feet across Oregon and SW Washington.
Doss’ years of federal service include work as a Real Property Management Specialist, Contracting Officer, Asset Manager, and Supervisory Property Manager. He worked in the Dallas, Fort Worth, Little Rock and Portland GSA offices. Prior to the GSA, he worked as a Park Ranger Interpreter and an On-campus Recruiter for the U.S. National Park Service.
Throughout his career, Doss has received numerous accolades. In addition, he is active in his community, where he has volunteered and served many organizations. He is a member of the advisory board for the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME), an organization with a mission to promote and develop entrepreneurship and economic development for ethnic minorities in the states of Oregon and SW Washington. He has served as the president of the Central Arkansas Federal Executive Association; member of Lewis & Clark Black Law Students Association; member of the Entertainment, Art and Sports Law Society, and member of the American Bar Association. He is a volunteer flag football coach with the Vancouver Parks and Recreation and a Sunday school teacher at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Portland. Moreover, he is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Doss holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. He completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in mass communications and public relations from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Doss and his wife, Felicia, have two sons, Cayden and Christian, and one daughter, Faith.
