CT 13369 - SBA to Close Two Disaster Loan Outreach Centers; Center in Fairfield Closes Jan. 21 in Observance of Martin Luther King Holiday

ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that due to a steady decrease of activity, the Disaster Loan Outreach Centers located in New Haven County will cease operations Thursday, Jan. 17 at the close of business
 
The Centers that will cease operations are indicated below:
 
New Haven County
East Haven Beach House
150 Cosey Beach Avenue
East Haven,  CT 06512
Hours:  9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Monday - Thursday
Closes:  Thursday, Jan 17 at close of business
 
New Haven County
Former Simon Lake Elementary School
65 Devonshire Road
Milford,  CT 06460
Hours:  9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Monday - Thursday
Closes:  Thursday, Jan. 17 at close of business
 
In observance of Martin Luther King’s holiday, Monday, Jan. 21, the Disaster Loan Outreach Center and Business Recovery Center in Fairfield County will be closed and will re-open the following day.   Survivors are encouraged to visit the remaining centers for program information and one-on-one assistance in completing their applications.  
 
Applicants may also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
 
Additional information on the disaster loan program can be obtained by calling SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.  Loan application forms can be downloaded from www.sba.gov.
 
The deadline to return applications for physical property damage is January 28, 2013.  The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013.
