Does the SBA offer Grants?

At this time, Congress has not set aside any monies for grants to start and/or expand a small business. SBA's grant programs generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local governments in an effort to expand and enhance small business technical and financial assistance. However, the SBA does not provide start-up grants or other grants to individuals or businesses. See Federal grant opportunities at http://www.sba.gov/expanding/grants.html . SBA does offer a variety of loan programs, which can be found at the following link: http://www.sba.gov/financing/indexloans.html.
