SBA’s Women’s Business Centers (WBC) provide individual business counseling assistance, workshops, seminars, training services, and access to SBA’s programs and services to help entrepreneurs operate a new or existing business.
The Mississippi SBA Office is proud to announce its new Women’s Business Center operated by CLIMB Community Development Center located in Gulfport, MS.
As a WBC, CLIMB will assist interested persons in forming businesses out of hobbies or previously informal activities; transforming home-based businesses into growing, viable enterprises for self-employment; and helping existing businesses expand and grow to gain operating and credit history that allow them to enter the formal credit sector, and deliver a variety of high quality services focused on women entrepreneurs.
The CLIMB (Creating Livelihoods for Individuals through Micro Business) program is a nine-week business training course for individuals who want to start or expand a small business. Since its inception, the program has graduated over 100 small business entrepreneurs.
The course charges a fee, with payment plans available. Technical assistance from CLIMB’s experienced staff is available to program graduates.
