New Delaware Business Program to Offer Free Business Resources

Event Brings Business Organizations Together to Start, Grow Small Business

Wilmington, Del. – Small business owners and entrepreneurs in New Castle County can jump start their business goals by connecting with business mentors and resources at a free event hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration Delaware District Office, the Delaware Economic Development Office, and the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce on April 25 at the New Castle County Chamber.

The inaugural event, called “Open for Business,” will kick-off a series of monthly events to be held on the fourth Thursday of every month at locations across New Castle County.  Small business owners and entrepreneurs who participate will be able to find resources to help them at every stage of business development, from start-up to going concern. These events are open to the media.

The ‘Open for Business’ program began in 2011 in Kent County, Delaware with events held on the first Thursday of each month. In 2012, program launched in Sussex County, Delaware with events held on the third Thursday of each month.
