NY 13365 - SBA Opens Business Recovery Center in Long Island City, NY

ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration opens a Business Recovery Center today in Long Island City, New York.  Businesses with physical damages or loss of revenue caused by Hurricane Sandy should consider visiting the Center and applying for an SBA disaster business loan.  SBA’s customer service representatives are on hand at the Center to answer questions about the disaster loan program and assist business owners in completing their applications. 
 
The Center is open as indicated below, until further notice:

Hours:   Weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 1p.m. to 5p.m.
Closed: Sundays
 
Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
 
Details on the locations of Disaster Recovery Centers and the loan application process can be obtained by calling the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.  Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov.  Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
 
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is December 31, 2012. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013.
