ST. LOUIS, MO – The SBA St. Louis District Office today announced the Eastern Missouri winners for Small Business Week 2014. Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri will be celebrated May 5 - 9, 2014, with events throughout the metropolitan area celebrating small businesses. GME specializes in industrial safety equipment. They exemplify their motto of “Climb Higher,” growing from two employees and $1.27 million in revenue in 2010 to 18 employees and $18.18 million in revenue in 2013 with exports to 29 countries! He used an SBA loan obtained in 2012 to build a new building for his growing company.

Twins Brynne and Bailye Stansberry are the founders of TwoAlity, LLC, and used an SBA loan to start the business. The primary products are patented fashionable clear boots with interchangeable liners, which they invented. The boots and liners are American-made and currently sold throughout the country and exported to Canada. Brynne and Bailye came up with the concept in high school for a Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) project and kept working on it through their time at Columbia College of Missouri. Their plan is to expand their product line to include other accessories.

Cory Elliott founded CMT Roofing, LLC, a female and minority-owned commercial roofing company specializing in schools, hospitals, churches, and local, state, and federal buildings, and the company is a licensed union contractor. Founded in 2012, the company nonetheless has personnel with over 20 years of expertise in construction and roofing. Revenue has doubled in the last year, with over $1 million in total sales. They emphasize service, quality, and integrity, and stress getting it right the first time. Cory is a graduate of Grace Hill Women’s Business Center’s Leadership Program and SBA’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Tim Smith, a former Army Sergeant and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, founded Patriot Commercial Cleaning in 2011 in order to help fellow Veterans and their family members. Patriot Commercial Cleaning only hires Veterans and their family members, currently 19 employees, to clean office spaces and schools. His goal is to have Veterans gainfully employed and to feel as if they are part of a team again. He received assistance from the Veterans Business Resource Center (VBRC) to achieve his dream of helping fellow Veterans.

Tracy Bogler is the President of Woody Bogler Trucking Company, which is a third generation family-owned company based in Red Bud, MO. He left college during his last year to help his father run the company in 1995. At that time, the company was operated from a trailer and had a garage that could only hold three of their 22 tractors. Tracy pushed his father to grow the company and diversify the freight they carried. In 2002, Tracy quickly assumed control when his father grew gravely ill. Today they have annual revenues in excess of $30 million and operate 140 tractor trailers in the lower 48 states. They operate a safe company with newer trucks. An SBA guaranteed loan in 2012 allowed the company to weather several setbacks which were hitting the trucking industry, purchase “green” trucks, and apply for government contracts.
