SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Essex County to Close May 12
ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration announces today that due to a steady decrease of activity, the Disaster Loan Outreach Center located in Essex County, Massachusetts will cease operations Wednesday, May 12 at 7 p.m.
The Small Business Administration urges those affected by the severe storms and flooding that occurred on March 12 and continued through April 26, 2010, to visit the Center before the closing to obtain one-on-one assistance and information about the disaster assistance program. The SBA also encourages homeowners, renters and businesses who received applications to return their completed applications as quickly as possible. The Center is located at:

Open: Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Closes: Wednesday, May 12 at the close of business
Anyone unable to visit the Center may obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for people with speech or hearing disabilities) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EDT, or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Business loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA website at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. Completed applications should be returned to the Center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
Those affected by the disaster may apply for disaster loans from SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is May 28, 2010. The deadline to return economic injury applications is December 29, 2010.
