SBA Louisiana Hosts 9th Annual “Connecting Businesses with Contracts” Conference in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE – On April 4, 2013, the U.S. Small Business Administration will host the Ninth Annual "Connecting Businesses with Contracts" Conference in Baton Rouge.  The conference will be held at Southern University and A&M College in the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union from 8 am to 2 pm.

The annual "Connecting Businesses with Contracts" Conference is the premier matchmaking and business development conference in Baton Rouge.  Small business owners will receive training and assistance and have the opportunity to network with prime contractors and Federal, State and Municipal procurement agents.  All small businesses are encouraged to attend, including woman-owned businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) certified firms, HUBZone certified firms, and Veteran-Owned/Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses. 

Registration is still open for both participants and exhibitors, and there is no fee to attend.  If you have not already registered, please e-mail prs6182@louisiana.edu or jo.lawrence3@sba.gov for a form.  The registration deadline for conference participants is March 29.  Exhibitor registration forms are due by April 2.  For additional information, please call 225-771-4107, 504-589-6685, or 504-589-6688.

The event is hosted in conjunction with Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, the Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Louisiana Small Business Development Centers, and Louisiana Economic Development.
