SBA Offers Small Business Opportunity Roundtable in Minot
Fargo – The North Dakota District Office of the SBA, in cooperation with area small business resources, is offering a small business roundtable in Minot on Tuesday, May 27th from 11:30am to 1:30pm in the Education Center of Souris River Telephone, 3615 N. Broadway, Minot.
Senator Heidi Heitkamp, who serves on the Small Business Committee, will offer an update on committee efforts as well as seek input on small business issues. Mike Gallagher, SBA District Director, will discuss programs and resources available to area businesses. Steve Dusek, Dakota Certified Development Corporation (DCDC), will provide information on crowd-funding through Kiva Zip as well as financing using the Community Advantage program. Tyler Okerlund, Center for Innovation, will discuss the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program which links small businesses with research and development grants available through various federal agencies.
Small business owners, prospective small business owners, and small business resource providers are encouraged to attend and participate in this dialogue on small business issues. In addition to providing information about SBA and other small business programs, the SBA is seeking input about the needs and goals of small businesses in Northwest North Dakota and the Minot area.
