Judy McCauley, Director of the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration will participate in the 2013 West Virginia Broadband Summit at the Waterfront Place Hotel, in Morgantown, on Monday, November 4. The summit begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m.

The event combines keynote speakers and panel discussions from the telecommunications industry and senior government officials including U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller, Federal Communications Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, and Google [X] Vice President Mohammad Gawdat.  The summit focuses on how access to broadband has changed and continues to change every aspect of small business. McCauley will answer questions on how growing your business online affects small businesses.

“Statistics show that over the next three years, businesses making use of the web are expected to grow 40% faster than those that don’t,” stated McCauley. “Our West Virginia small businesses can’t ignore statistics like that – our clients need to be educated on what is offered in our great state.”

West Virginia small businesses who would like to attend can get more information or register at www.drwvfoundation.org.

The mission of the SBA is to aid, counsel, assist and promote the interests of small businesses by providing financial, procurement and business development assistance and advocating on their behalf within the government.  All SBA programs are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
