RICHMOND, Va – The SBA Richmond District Office is hosting a roundtable discussion with its resource partners, community organizations and local city government to promote collaboration within the small business community at its downtown Richmond office December 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. WHO: Small Business Administration Richmond District Office and AARP Virginia Confirmed Attendees: VA Resource Partners Jody Keenan, SBDC State Director, Virginia Mike Leonard, Richmond SBDC director based at the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce Sarah Williams, Richmond WBC Director Emmett Richardson, Richmond SCORE Chapter Chair Jim Martin, Shenandoah Valley SCORE Chapter Chair Organizations City of Richmond Department of Economic and Community Development City of Richmond Minority Business Office Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Central Virginia African-American Chamber of Commerce Greater Richmond Partnership Retail Merchants Association Advantech WHAT: Roundtable discussion with Resource Partners, local city government, and community organizations to discuss programs and deployment of services. This will be an opportunity to hold a conversation regarding potential areas of collaboration. Secondly, your desired conversation will relate to understanding best practices on linking SBA with community organizations that are doing dynamic work for small businesses in the community.
