Small Business Week in Oregon and SW Washington
Local celebration of small business May 19-22
PORTLAND, Ore. – Every spring, the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes small businesses across the country during Small Business Week. Following National Small Business Week, the Portland District Office, local cities, counties and business organizations in Oregon and SW Washington will host a local small business week May 19-22.
“Roughly 98% of the employers in Oregon are small business owners representing more than 350,000 small businesses,” said District Director Camron Doss. “This year, along with community partners, we will offer educational opportunities and other ways to recognize small businesses in addition to our Small Business Week awards celebration.”
Starting May 19, different community and small business organizations will host workshops, neighborhood walkabouts and panel discussions to help interested entrepreneurs with their businesses and recognize the impact small business has on the community.
