Procurement Policy

The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) in the Office of Management and Budget plays a central role in shaping the policies and practices Federal agencies use to acquire the goods and services they need to carry out their responsibilities. It provides overall direction for government-wide procurement policies, regulations and procedures and promotes economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in acquisition processes.

Acquisition Central, a Website managed by OFPP, contains the most current and comprehensive information about Federal procurement policy. Accessible to both the Federal acquisition community and the government's business partners, the site (also known as AcqNet) allows access to shared systems and tools to help users conduct business efficiently. It includes information about regulations, systems, resources, opportunities and training. AcqNet is hosted by IAE (Integrated Acquisition Environment), the E-Gov Initiative that is streamlining the Federal acquisition process.
