Do you have expertise that can benefit business owners, managers, or entrepreneurs? Would you like to gain recognition for yourself or your company from small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Valley? If so, we invite you to submit a proposal to present at The BIG Small Business Event of 2014. The Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center will host our third annual BIG Small Business Event on Thursday, May 22, at Blue Ridge Community College’s Plecker Center in Weyers Cave. We’ve had a great response to previous events, and we look forward to an exciting and energy-filled day to promote growth and success for businesses. What is the BIG Small Business Event? This full-day conference provides professional development and networking opportunities to entrepreneurs, managers, and business owners. The tag line for this event is Learn. Act. Profit. - so our mission that day is to provide information and resources for attendees to go back to their businesses and ACT on all they LEARN. Our Keynote Speaker this year is Stan Phelps, who will get us started with “Purple Goldfish: Little Things Make a BIG Difference.” Learn more about Stan at www.9inchmarketing.com The rest of our day is filled with concurrent breakout sessions focusing on all the topics of interest and issues of importance to our business community. This is where YOU come in! If you would like to be considered as a workshop presenter, please complete the attached “Presentation Proposal Form” and submit to the SBDC by close of day, Friday, April 18.
