Abstract:
The SBA EIS is a Windows-based application which extracts raw data from SBA mainframe transaction records, displays it in tables and graphs, and delivers those displays to SBA executives' desktops through point and click commands. The initial EIS module, currently (2/15/96) implemented in 20 SBA field offices, accesses SBA loan approval data which is refreshed weekly from operational mainframe databases.

SBA loan approval data is obtained from the SBA Loan Accounting and Cash Collection System (LACCS). LACCS data is obtained via loan application from banks and non-bank lenders for guarantee loans and directly from the public for disaster loans. Bank and non-bank lenders report to SBA on loan status; payments and guarantee fees are collected and processed directly at SBA.
