Abstract:

The U.S. Business Advisor is a one-stop electronic link to Government for business. With the goal of changing the way Government and businesses interact, this Internet web site is an integrating mechanism that brings the business user to a variety of Government electronic data sets. Currently, the tool indexes and links to over 300 Federal Government electronic sites and provides a search capability for over 140,000 Government web addresses. Based on requests from the business community, the U.S. Business Advisor permits the user to access Government information and service in five distinct ways:
- commonly-asked questions and answers relevant to business,
- "how to" tools to find information and learn how to condict business
- a search tool,
- a browse capability to access information arranged by category, and
- News to stay abreast of newsworthy events.
