- The Office of Inspector General (OIG) issued an inspection report that assesses SBA's oversight of the 504 Lending Program, particularly the performance and compliance with Agency regulations of Certified Development Companies (CDCs). Overall, the OIG found that SBA's oversight of the CDCs needs tightening to be effective. The report contains 17 recommendations which, if implemented, would strengthen internal controls and improve the effectiveness and timeliness of program delivery.
