Inspector General
Eric M. Thorson has been the Inspector General at the Small Business Administration since April, 2006. He formerly served in a variety of governmental positions including recent positions as a Senior Adviser to the Director at the Office of Personnel Management and a Special Assistant to the Republican Leader of the United States Senate. Earlier in his career, Mr. Thorson was the Chief Investigator for the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and the Senate Finance Committee. He has also served in several positions in the secretariat of the Department of the Air Force. He received his bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1967
