Success Story
Trofholz Technologies, Inc.
Growing up in the South, Yvonne Glenn often dreamed of owning her own company. Her grandfather, Leon Trofholz, supported her dream of advancing in the business world and encouraged her to take the crucial first steps in achieving success.
After serving six years in the United States Air Force, Yvonne worked as a Software Instructor and performed consulting work for a prominent Bay Area 8(a) company while completing her degree in Business Administration from California State University, Hayward. She then took a sales management position at CompUSA, focusing on growing their federal and state markets in the northern California region.
After two years at CompUSA, Yvonne decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of owning and managing her own business. With the recent IT bubble burst, most people did not support her business plan, but in 2001, she took a leap of faith and started building her IT business. Despite the skeptics, she established Trofholz Technologies, Inc. (TTI) in 2002, named after her grandfather. Yvonne and her small staff began to establish teaming relationships with 8(a) companies and began to build credibility with federal customers. In 2003, Yvonne received her 8(a) certification and TTI won its first major opportunity with the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. In addition to the 8(a) certification, TTI is a Service Disabled Veteran (SDV), Woman-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB).
Since 2002, TTI has enjoyed exponential growth and has expanded the business to cover Technology Enhanced Classrooms, security, IT Management and interoperable communications. TTI is headquartered in Rocklin, California with operational locations throughout the United States.
TTI provides clients with innovative solutions to their business challenges. The following projects are just a few examples of how TTI gains comprehensive understanding of clients’ requirements and responds with solutions that not only satisfy clients’ needs, but positions their organizations for future changes and modifications.

TTI is providing the USMC security forces with a defense-in-depth capability to detect, deter, and neutralize unauthorized flightline intrusions. TTI is achieving this goal by applying policy-based, rather than compliance-based, requirements and integrating existing intrusion detection, access control, and surveillance systems, and integrating transformational technologies that will contribute to the essential elements of flightline security.
Indiana National Guard (ING) Interoperability Unit: TTI is providing the Indiana National Guard with a rapidly deployable interagency communications unit. The core of the system utilizes software that bridges like and disparate radio communications platforms and provides the ING with the tools needed for multi-agency collaboration of secure voice, data and video. Using commercially available products, TTI is providing the ING with a cost-effective solution and user-friendly products. This unit will be used by the Guard for emergency response and training. Whether it is a natural or man-made disaster, this type of unit will help first responders, fire, police and military respond quickly and communicate effectively.
TTI has taken the revenues from $203,000 in 2002 to over $12.4 million in 2005. The “Quality, Commitment, Creativity and Integrity” adage known as “QCCI” is widely conveyed throughout the company and has been instrumental in the success of TTI.
