Washington Metropolitan Area District Office Mentor/Protégé Application Procedures
This location offers information concerning samples and examples of the Mentor/Protégé application. Your use of these samples will enable us to provide quicker response time through application standardization and by eliminating our need to reformat your applications prior to approval.
Prior to beginning the application process, the protégé should:
-
Communicate with your Business Development Specialist (BDS) (by phone or email) and discuss this program's requirements, as well as your specific concerns.
-
Copy the agreement samples and use them as the basis for your agreement.
The first six paragraphs of the agreement sample must be used verbatim.
-
The remaining agreement sample paragraph's text may be modified to suite individual situations.
-
The presentation of the information contained in the numbered paragraphs must follow the sample. Use numbered paragraph 12 (and beyond) to address any other provisions not included in the preceding paragraphs.
-
Sign the application and forward it to your BDS.
