 WBC

Women’s Business Center (WBC) is a non-profit agency created to help entrepreneurs in starting, growing and expanding their business ventures. The Center’s mission is to increase the number, size and capacity of women-owned businesses in their operating area.

The Center offers training, business consulting, specialized workshops, SBA Loan guarantee assistance, and mentoring to help the entrepreneur grow their business. The Center’s resources may include a computer laboratory with Internet access and business software, a resource library, or other support materials on various business topics.  WBCs are funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Some 70 new and existing centers in the U.S. received a total of $6.8 million in additional SBA funding in late 2004.
