SBA lender trainings available: SBA 101 Who should attend: New SBA lenders and lenders that need a refresher in the basics. This workshop covers SBA 7a and 504 loan eligibility, overview of SBA finance programs, SBA loan closing and SBA loan servicing. This workshop runs from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. Instructors are Anne Hunt, Lead Supervisory Loan Specialist and Robert Nelson, Massachusetts District Director. Now that all loans are centrally processed, this training program is invaluable and more important than ever. Learn how to avoid the most common pitfalls. SBA 201 Who should attend: SBA lenders and “backroom” staff involved with the preparation of SBA purchase requests. Learn how to collect on your SBA purchase requests within 45 days. At this session we will go over the new “tab” purchase request process and procedures. Program runs from 9:00 – 12:00 p.m. Instructors are Anne Hunt, Lead Supervisory Loan Specialist and Robert Nelson, Massachusetts District Director. SBA Express/Community Express/Patriot Express Who should attend: Existing and prospective SBA Express Lenders. Topics to be covered at this workshop include eligibility, program changes, closing Express loans and servicing and liquidation. We will also discuss ETRAN, a new Web based loan application solution developed by the agency to save lenders time and resources. Come find out why close to 90% of loans in MA are now being processed using this expedited loan program. Program runs from 9:00 – 12:00 p.m. Instructors are Anne Hunt, Lead Supervisory Loan Specialist and Robert Nelson, Massachusetts District Director. SBA 504 Loans Who should attend: All commercial lenders, real estate brokers, economic development officials, CPA’s and anyone interested in leaning about this economic development loan program of the SBA. Learn how to offer your client 90% financing at below market rates. These loans are for real estate acquisition and major expansions and also for the purchase of major equipment items. Through the use of the SBA 504 loan, your borrower can get long term, below market fixed rates for 10 to 20 years.
