Edward A. Daum
District Director

Edward Daum was appointed District Director of the Minnesota District Office in August 1987. He is responsible for administering all agency programs in Minnesota. He has been with SBA since 1975, working as a loan officer and Disaster Branch Manager in Kentucky, Chief of Portfolio Management in West Virginia, and acting District Director in Oklahoma.

Prior to coming to SBA, Daum served as a supervisory auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) in Cincinnati, Ohio.

As District Director, Daum has led the Minnesota office to consistently rank as one of the highest volume SBA offices in the nation and also maintain one of the highest loan currency rates. Minnesota has over 10,000 SBA loans totaling $1.4 billion. In 2005, the SBA recognized the Minnesota office as the "National District Office of the Year" (Large Office).

Daum is a native of Southern Indiana and served with the Air Force for four years in Utah and Vietnam. After military service, he graduated with Honors from Indiana State University and later obtained his Certified Public Accountant certificate.
