SCORE - Counselors to America's Small Business

Volunteers provide training and one-on-one free counseling around Asheville, Charlotte, Chapel Hill, Durham, Greensboro, Hendersonville, High Point, Morehead City, New Bern, Outer Banks, Pinehurst, Raleigh, Sand Hills, Wilmington, and on-line.

Small Business & Technology Development Centers

SBTDCs provide training, counseling, research and other specialized assistance to growing businesses at many locations throughout North Carolina.

U.S. Export Assistance Centers

USEACs offer a full range of federal export programs and services from a number of federal agencies under one roof. Many locations have new-to-export programs called E-TAP.

Women's Business Centers

SBA sponsors the Women's Center of Fayetteville, the Women's Business Center of North Carolina, in Durham and Mountain BizWorks in Asheville, three of more than 90 in the network of Women's Business Centers (WBC) that provide a wide range of services to women entrepreneurs at all levels of business development.
SBA also sponsors the Online Womens Business Center.

PRIME Partner for Microenterprise

Mountain BizWorks serves 11 counties in Western North Carolina.

Under the PRIME program – Program for Investment in Microentrepreneurs – the SBA provided funds to community-based organizations that will offer training and technical assistance to low-income entrepreneurs with small businesses of five employees or less.
