Lee Cornelison, District Director Lee Cornelison was appointed District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) North Carolina District Office in October 1999. As District Director, he oversees the delivery of agency programs such as financial assistance, management counseling and business development throughout the state of North Carolina. Lee joined SBA following his retirement from Peabody Energy, the largest producer of coal in the U.S. In nearly 20 years at Peabody he held various positions in sales, marketing and contract administration completing his career there as Senior Vice President. Prior to Peabody he worked for the Shell Oil Company in Detroit and for the Department of Defense in St. Louis. He is a Vietnam veteran who spent four years on active duty and 26 years in the Army Reserve. He retired with the rank of Colonel. Lee is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University. He also received an MBA from the University of Missouri at St. Louis. | ||
