Prior to beginning the process, the protege should communicate with his or her Business Development Specialist to discuss the program requirements. The first six paragraphs of the agreement forms must be used verbatim. The remaining agreement template text can be modified to suit individual situations. The presentation of the information contained in the numbered paragraphs must follow the template. Starting at paragraph 12, other provisions not included in previous paragraphs can be addressed. Sign the cover letter and forward to the Business Development Specialist.

Change of Ownership

For 8(a) firms that want to change their ownership structure (for example: from a sole proprietorship to an LLC). Prior to beginning the process, the 8(a) participant must contact his or her Business Development Specialist.
