FEDERAL PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITIES

  • Central Contractor Registration (CCR)
    CCR is the primary gateway vendor and contractor/grantee database for the federal government. Both current and potential contractors/grantees are required to register in CCR to receive federal contracts or grants. SBA maintains the Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) function on CCR to serve as a marketing tool for small businesses.
  • Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps)
    FedBizOpps is the U.S. Government's one-stop virtual marketplace. Through this single point of entry, small business vendors can search for and monitor opportunities solicited by the entire federal contracting community.
  • SUB-Net
    Prime contractors use SUB-Net to post subcontracting opportunities. Small businesses can review the Web site to find opportunities in their area.
  • 8(a) Business Development Program
    The SBA's Section 8(a) Business Development Program is a nine-year program to help socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses compete effectively both for government contracts and in the mainstream economy.
  • Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone)
    The HUBZone Program establishes contracting preferences to small businesses located in historically underutilized business zones in order to create area jobs and stimulate the local economy.
  • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
    Contracting officers may award sole-source or set-aside contracts to small businesses owned by service-disabled veterans. 
  • Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR)/
    Small Business Technology Transfer Program (STTR)

    Both the SBIR and STTR programs encourage small firms to explore their technological potential by reserving a percentage of federal research and development funds for small business.
  • TECH-Net
    TECH-Net is an online database of SBIR, STTR and Advanced Technology Program awards, as well as Manufacturing Extension Partners centers.
