Mission:

National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week is an annual celebration in recognition of the contributions made by minority businesses to the Nation’s economy. This year earmarks the 23rd Annual National MED Week celebration. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), in collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Government Contracting and Business Development and their respective public and private sector partners, host the National MED Week Conference. Activities are also held throughout the country under the auspices of MBDA’s and SBA’s Regional and District Offices and their network of funded organizations, culminating in the National Conference held in Washington, D.C.
