Top SBA Lenders in Eastern Missouri Honored at Small Business Week Luncheon

The Lender Awards Luncheon, held on May 5, was the kick-off event for Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri 2014. The annual event recognizes SBA lending partners in the St. Louis District Office territory. In attendance were 135 SBA lenders and resource partners from throughout the eastern half of Missouri.  Jim Fuchs, Assistant Vice President, Supervisory Policy and Risk Analysis, Community Development and Community Banking Research, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis was the featured speaker. He provided an interesting overview of economic and regulatory issues facing financial institutions and small businesses.

Fiscal Year 2013 was a record year for loan originations in the St. Louis District as evidenced by loans to 474 small businesses through a total of $211 million in loan guarantees.  These SBA loans helped create nearly 2,600 jobs and retaining an additional 4,000 jobs.  The following awards were given recognizing the top SBA lending partners in the district:

Recognizes the St. Louis District’s top CDCs in SBA-guaranteed 504 loan originations during FY 2013.

Top Micro Lender Award

Justine PETERSEN, St. Louis, MO, - 225 loans totaling $1,520,940. They were also recognized as SBA’s 2nd most active micro lender nationally.
