Eris Security, Inc.
Founded in 2004 by Andrea Czeck, ERIS Security was established to meet the security needs of the Federal Government with solutions “dedicated to changing the face of security needs and threats.”
The firm received its first commercial contract in 2006, and was accepted into SBA’s 8(a) Program in March 2008. Since entering the program the firm has received four 8(a) contracts and performed work as a contractor and subcontractor, with a total estimated contract value of approximately $12 million.
Czeck has grown her company from its original 7 employees to 110 employees today. She expects to double if not triple that number within the next year. According to Czeck, Eris Security is succeeding today due to its participation in SBA’s Mentor/Protégé program, as well as participation in the SBA Joint Venture program. Czeck concludes, “The 8(a) program is a great program. It allows for small companies like mine to get our foot in the door with Federal Agencies. The SBA’s programs that support the 8(a) program, such as the Mentor/Protégé and the Joint Venture program give the extra nudge we need to succeed and become competitive.”
