K Post Company
Thomas K. Post founded K Post Company, a commercial roofing company, in November 2003 after more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Post quickly added Steve Little and Jayne Williams, who each have their own commercial roofing experience, to his founding team. The company has 3 primary lines of business: roof construction, roof maintenance, and waterproofing.
When the company filled out its SBA 504-loan application, the company was leasing space in 3 different locations. The 504-loan allowed the company to purchase the land and a large building, consolidating its operations into one space.
When K Post was founded, the company had $200,000 and 11 employees with a weekly payroll of $25,000. At the time of its SBA 504-loan application in 2006, the company had 140 employees. K Post currently employs over 245 people. The company went from zero to $10 million in revenues during its first year of operation. By year three, the company was seeing revenues around $16 million and in 2009 exceeded $24 million.
The Post Company’s most visible project to date is the installation of the roof on the dome at the new National Football League Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
