Federal Funding: $227,445
The Step Program in conjunction with the Guam Economic Development Authority (GEDA), the Guam Visitor’s Bureau (GVB), the Hotel and Restaurant Association and the Chamber of Commerce is focusing on business development and expansion through various partnerships, outreach efforts and trainings to increase trade show participation, exhibition and awareness. It is also developing tourism in new market areas and industries, specifically, around sports and film. Finally, Guam is using STEP funding to engage in product development for those products that promote a higher standard of quality associated with the “Made on Guam” label, targeting locally manufactured goods conveniently packaged and available at both retail outlets and at Guam’s only international airport.
