Office of International Trade: Idaho
Federal Funding: $405,128
The State of Idaho uses STEP funding for the Idaho Global Markets Initiative, which will focus on the Idaho Export Circuit, the International Market Access Grants (IMAG), and travel and study market promotion. The aforementioned programs are meant to increase inbound matchmaking opportunities and outbound international sales opportunities in two targeted export industry sectors, benefiting those who are new to export as well as experienced exporters. IMAG funding will be given at a maximum of $10K each with a 50% match requirement by participating companies. A funding preference will be given to rural, women or veteran-owned and economically disadvantaged Idaho companies. IMAG will be available in four focus areas: 1) circuit follow-up; 2) markets of a company’s choice; 3) Export Tech plan execution; and 4) trade mission participation.
