Federal Funding: $656,181
The Maryland Office of International Investment and Trade (OIIT) will utilize STEP funding to award ExportMD Stipends to qualified businesses. The ExportMD Stipends represent the centerpiece program of the Maryland Export Initiative and widely utilized among Maryland small businesses. Companies may be eligible for up to $10,000 in reimbursement for expenses associated with export development initiatives and up to 40 hours of assistance. STEP funding will also enable Maryland to secure exhibition space at several major international trade shows and execute trade missions while focusing on targeted knowledge-based industries such as life sciences, advanced technology, defense and aerospace and green technology.
