The Mississippi STEP plans include: (1) a STEP marketing program, (2) a targeted overseas marketing program, and (3) selected clusters for export promotion. The two primary goals of this project are increasing the number of new to export or new to market firms and increasing export sales from these firms to targeted, viable markets. Many events are targeted in Mexico and Latin America, the state's largest export market region that holds great potential for the targeted clusters. Domestic events with strong international components are also included.
