Through statewide export assistance, North Carolina International Trade Division (NCITD) plans to significantly increase the number of small business concerns exporting, increase the total sales of exports from North Carolina small business concerns by $40 million dollars, and expand the number of markets to which North Carolina small business concerns currently export. Through Passport Service Awards (PSA), global passport initiatives, and special target markets, the NCITD is keenly focused on engaging small businesses that are in select special segments, from textiles to life sciences, clean technologies, and food products. The NCITD is working closely with partner groups and associations to assist these target markets and industry clusters.
