The Office of International Business Development and Protocol has identified the following four areas as key important efforts to be undertaken during the project year: New to export training; “Doing Business Overseas Seminar” in the People’s Republic of China; Implementation of a state-wide conferencing service; and promoting participation in foreign trade shows and missions. These will involve financially assisting over 800 eligible small businesses to acquire the education and training required to proactively identify and pursue global sales and export activities. Outcomes for this effort are $1.4 MM total projected sales by September 30, 2014.
