Office of International Trade: Utah
Federal Funding: $341,656
STEP funds will be used to accomplish three functions: provide training, trade missions and shows to firms to explore exporting. Utah plans to increase the number of trade missions and trade shows that are organized to provide greater opportunities for Utah firms to connect with international buyers, distributors, and other partners. The target markets are based on regions of the world which Utah believes have the best opportunities for Utah companies to be successful. Utah also will be introducing new company to companies to participate in trade missions and trade shows or to provide their companies with tools to do business internationally. These tools will effectively open Utah firms for up to 63 companies, with projected sales of $6,110,000 by September 2014.
