Vibhaa Vermani: Hi. I am Vibhaa Vermani. I am the president and owner of Chitra Productions in Virginia Beach, Virginia. My company is currently 8(a) certified and I am a woman-owned small business. Growing up in India, so many people told me, Don't dream. Don't think big. Have realistic expectations for life. You're a woman. There's a lot of hardship. There's a lot of heartbreak. I just knew I had a lot of potential and because of the 8(a) Program, I feel like my dreams are coming true. Every single day, I come to work and I am ready to work hard because I have hundreds of people at the SBA looking out for me, looking out for businesses like me. That inspires me. My new home, America, has so much trust in me. They have invested in me through this SBA's 8(a) Certification. Not only am I successful with my business, I am able to give back. I have created so many jobs and for that, I am ecstatic. My son watches me work so hard and in him is instilled that hard work does yield good results. This SBA program, the 8(a) program, has given me so much courage to go after my dreams to work hard that it is really teaching my children now that hard work is a good thing.
