A Man With A Truck (A.M.W.A.T)

Gloria: Hi my name is Gloria Pew. I am the CEO of AMWAT moving, warehousing and storage, here in Tallahassee, Florida. AMWAT is the acronym for A Man with a Truck. A Man with a Truck was started in 1997 by my husband Dean Pew. In 2005 I joined the company and one of my first orders of business was to research the resources available to small businesses. I was able to find the Small Business Administration website online. I learned so much from that website. All the resources and information were valuable to us. As a result of the information that I gained from the SBA, I was able to learn how to market sales, finance and so forth. In 2008 we acquired our biggest competitor and in 2011 we purchased the property that we are at right now. The purchase of the property was made possible by the SBA loan. Thank you so much SBA. It has been such a rewarding experience to be an employer, to be able to employ twenty four individuals and the multiplier fact that, that has on our community, to be able to buy services here locally and buy as much as we can, purchased in America. Thank you so much SBA, we appreciate your help. Thank you for our success.
