Tec-Masters, Incorporated is located in Huntsville, Alabama. It was founded by Dr. Marvin Carroll in 1988 after his retirement from government service. The [inaudible 00:00:08] small business administration program that Tec-Master's utilized was the 8(a) Program. We went in to support the Cedar contract out at Fort Sill, and the 8(a) awards actually allowed us to penetrate some of the missile defense and multimedia areas and arenas here in Huntsville. The things that enabled us to graduate from the 8(a) Program and become a viable small business was the foundation business practices; those things that were established during that 8(a) period and the period in which we won some of the most competitive contracts. What happened shortly thereafter was our participation in the DOD and Mentor Protege Programs, and as a mentor, that was enabled because we had successfully completed and graduated from the 8(a) Program. The Mentor Protege Program is designed to be a win/win for both sides.
The most rewarding part of being a part of a small business that's growing is the establishment of the relationships with the employees, with other business and with the government. It's all about establishing quality. You can't really have quality products without quality people. Tec-Master's recipe for success can be summed up in one word; our people. Call it loyalty, call it integrity; it's a two way street where the employees are loyal to the company, the company is loyal to the employees and to our customers. That in fact is how you succeed.
