This workshop is for ntrepreneurs, both with and without an accounting background who want to learn about Quick Books before committing to purchase the software. The workshop is a hand on training where you will learn how to set up a company correctly to support your understanding of the operations of the business. Topics that will be covered: 1. Getting started - understanding the various Quick Book packages and understanding how to set up a new business. 2. Setting up the correct chart of accounts - this divides the results of the business into groups that allow us to understand if goals are being accomplished. 3. Setting preferences – this is about how the Quick Books system will assist you in recording transaction. 4. Essential tasks – setting passwords, reconciling accounts, closing the books and preparing reports. 5. Everyday Transactions – receive an overview of checks, bills, payments invoices, credit memos, deposits, purchase orders, online banking, credit card use, inventory and more. This workshop is “Hands On”, you will work on a computer. It is limited to 10 students, so register early/
