CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte ChallengeHER event will educate women entrepreneurs about the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contract Program and provide them with resources and knowledge to help grow their businesses through federal contracting.  The event is designed to bring more women-owned firms into the federal government’s supply chain and to provide an avenue for government agencies to meet qualified women-owned contractors.

This FREE event will be held Wednesday, August 20, at the Federal Reserve Bank, 530 East Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Registration is required.  Please register for this event here:

The WOSB contracting program allows federal agencies to offer WOSB set aside contracts to women business owners represented in 83 NAICS codes, who are 51% owned, controlled and primarily managed by one or more women who are U.S. citizens and managed day-to-day operations and long term decisions.

ChallengeHER is a joint initiative from the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) American Express OPEN, the small business division of the financial services company, and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP).
