Citizens Bank Named SBA Lender of the Quarter

BOSTON – Citizens Bank has been named SBA’s Lender of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2014 (April 1, 2014 – June 30, 2014),  according to a recent announcement made by Robert H. Nelson, Massachusetts district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). During FY 2014, which ended on September 30, 2014, Citizens ranked as the fourth most active SBA lender in Massachusetts, out of 132 SBA lenders statewide.

 

“We are delighted to recognize Citizens Bank for their excellent SBA activity for the quarter,” said Nelson. “During this third quarter, the bank had 24 SBA loan approvals in Massachusetts, making them the fifth most active SBA lender in the state. Congratulations to Citizens Bank!”

 

Citizens Bank’s Director of SBA Lending- Kevin Ferryman accepted the award along with Business Banking President Quincy Miller and Christopher Ward Business Banking Sales Director.

The SBA, under its 7(a) Loan Guaranty Program, can guarantee loans up to $5 million.  Loans are available for most business purposes, such as to purchase commercial real estate, equipment, and inventory as well as for short-term working capital.
