MIAMI - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) South Florida District Office is seeking up to 20 seasoned entrepreneurs to participate in a free executive-level business training opportunity in the City of Hialeah Gardens starting in April 2019.

The SBA Emerging Leaders Miami program is a free graduate-level training program for established business owners ready to scale for growth.  Over the course of seven months, each participating entrepreneur will learn immediate ways to improve their business while working on a 3-year Strategic Action Plan to build sustainable growth for the future of their business.

The SBA Emerging Leaders Miami program is for established business owners and is not for start-ups or people who are thinking about starting a business.  To be considered, firms must be for-profit companies, have been in business for a minimum of three years, have full-time/part-time employees and have annual revenues between $250,000 – $10 million.

There is no restriction on the type of businesses that can participate.  Some examples of past graduated firms have been construction contractors, food service/caterers, logistics companies, security companies and educational services.

Notable South Florida entrepreneurs that have graduated from previous classes include Ricky Brantley, President/CEO of Viking Defense; Moises Montanez, President of Alta Quality Builders; Joseangel Ramil, CEO of AAA Million Auto Parts; Stephen Perret-Gentil, Owner of Bon Trade International Corp; Anthony Calero, Managing Owner of Arepa Pueblo; Patricia Blasser, President of Collection 2000 Cosmetics and Juan Carlos Ramirez, Co-Founder of NMR Design Group.

Business owners interested in the program need to fill out the online application at www.interise.org/SBAemergingleaders by March 8.  Interise, a non-profit organization specializing in entrepreneurial education, oversees the Emerging Leaders program nationwide.  The SBA reviews the applicant list and selects the class participants.
