FRESNO – The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Fresno District Office is accepting nominations for SBA’s 2016 National Small Business Week awards.  Since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognized the outstanding achievements of America’s small businesses for their contributions to their local communities, and to our nation’s economy. Several past National winners have come from Fresno District’s fifteen county Central California and Central Coast jurisdiction including Ruiz Foods in Dinuba.

 The dedicated website  provides criteria and guidelines for submitting a nomination. For 2016, the application has been streamlined and simplified; nominees are only required to submit one form and questionnaire. Cities, counties, elected officials, lenders, and others are encouraged to recognize and nomination outstanding businesses in their community.

SBA Awards given in celebration of National Small Business Week, May 2-6, 2016, include the following:

  • Phoenix Awards for Disaster Recovery
