North Florida District Office Guaranteed Over $357.2 Million in Small Business Lending In Fiscal Year 2013

  Jacksonville, Fla. - North Florida’s economy continues to improve and small business lending is at the center of that recovery. SBA guaranteed 749 loans through its North Florida District Office, exceeding more than $357.2 million in loans for small businesses in Fiscal Year 2013.  The following lenders have made an extraordinary contribution to small business lending in Fiscal Year 2013 in North Florida:



Top 7(a) Lender by Number of Loans and Dollar Amount: Wells Fargo, NA



Top Certified Development Company by Dollar Amount: Florida First Capital Finance Corporation



Top Certified Development Company by Number of Loans: Florida Business Development Corporation



Top 1st Mortgage Lender: Regions Bank



Top Community Bank Lender by Dollar Amount: CBC National Bank



Top Community Bank Lender by Number of Loans: BankFirst


 Top Veteran Loans Lender: Wells Fargo, NA

Fiscal Year 2013 Lender Award Winners will be recognized at the 22st Annual Small Business Week Celebration on May 22, 2014 in Jacksonville at the University of North Florida’s University Center from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. In addition to the top lenders, the North Florida Office would like to recognize the Black Business Investment Fund of Central Florida as the only lender generating loans through the Community Advantage Loan Initiative in the district. Community Advantage is a pilot initiative aimed at increasing the number of SBA 7(a) lenders who reach underserved communities, targeting community-based, mission-focused financial institutions which were previously not able to offer SBA loans.
